Nature and Purpose of this document
This document describes the privacy policy of Lawskills.com. It is
incorporated into your contract with EastCore, INC. by reference in that
document. From time to time we may amend this document. If you are a
Lawskills.Com subscriber, you will receive notification of changes to the
policy and to your contract via email. Also, all changes to the privacy policy
are posted at http://www.lawskills.com.
Scope of information collected
We collect several types of information from you. First, we collect contact,
credit card, subscription, originating URL, and other information related to
your account. We call this information "Your Information."
We collect information about your use of our services. We call this "use
information."
Finally, from time to time we may ask you to supply additional information
about yourself that we call "additional voluntary information. "
Use of Information
We will never sell Your Information to third parties. We compile Your
Information with use information and with additional voluntary information into
a compiled information product. We market access to you through this product,
but we will not (except under certain extreme circumstances) release
Your Information to third parties who are not under our control or who are not
our agents.
Practically, this means that EastCore or its agents will act as a conduit for
marketing information, but your information will not be sold or released
directly to any third party who is neither an agent or under our control.
Protection of Your Information
EastCore follows industry standard practices in protecting your information.
While we make every reasonable effort to comply with standards that will offer
protection for your information we make no representation that your information
will be 100% secure. As with any human system failure of stated goals is a
possiblity.
Extreme Circumstances requiring release of information
We will not release your information to third parties (excluding entities under
our control) unless extreme circumstances warrant such a release.
Circumstances that qualify for release include but are not limited to a valid
court order (e.g. a court order issued in the course of the discovery phase of
a trial); a valid executive order; a reasonable belief on our part that you are
engaged in illegal activity; a reasonable belief that you are engaged in
activity that threatens the stability, usability, or safety of our services;
and any other reason necessary to conduct our business in full compliance with
applicable law.
Correction of Information
We may provide forms for you to update Your Information. Check
the main site for access to this feature. Also you may amend your
information by sending email to [email protected]. You have an affirmative
duty under the contract to keep Your Information current. Notice to modifications to
your contract and to our privacy policy are made through Your Information.
